BodyKey: The Beginning


So, what is BODYKEY?

I got my BodyKey from Amway HQ in PJ last Friday (06/11/15). Paid in installments. Yes, some say it's a waste of money etc etc but i'm so gonna prove u wrong, sista.

I use to doubt all these health program thingy as alot of companies take advantage of people like me and at the end of the day, it just doesn't work. I thought the same about the BodyKey but after witnessing people I know lose weight and become more fit with help from the BodyKey, I decided to try it myself. What do i have to lose? The supplements that comes with it is good for health. My grandpa takes them and he's doing much better at age 85.

Back to topic. I have the device - InBodyKey Band. It's like a watch. It has a built in pedometer and monitors heart rate, body fat, sleep rate, overall wellness. The device is linked to the BodyKey App (available on Apple store/ Android Playstore). You really need to be "rajin" and update your food intake though the day so the app can provide more accurate dietary suggestion.

I've trialed run it for 2 days, sat and sunday. and obviously my normal eating habit is terrible. Too much calories consumed and not enough walking/exercise and lack of GOOD sleep.  I do sleep but it's not good enough, too light. Interesting to know how bad my normal habit is.

So, today (09/11/15), i'm starting the programmed in full speed. Fibre Blend + Double X + Protein + Meal Replacement. I'm going full protein diet for the next 2 weeks. (Disclaimer: This is my own diet, not suggested by the app.). The app will run a few suggestions to follow btw. But i decided to try a diff one. A hybrid diet. Oh, and i'm making sure i go to the gym at least once a week for basic workout and exercise. Need to boost my stamina and increase metabolism rate.

I'll be updating my blog weekly in regards to my progress. Will be weighing and measuring myself later too as record.

My Current Fitness Level = Really bad

So, previously i blogged about procrastinating when it comes to exercise. Yes, i'm a lazy ass.

So, as mentioned, i've signed up got KFIT. It's RM99/month and I get to try diff activities and go to diff gyms.

My 1st activity was going to a gym. It was my 1st time ya. Never been to one before so I was a wee bit "LOST". I went with Mr Tally. I signed him up for KFIT too. Best to do things in pairs or in a group for me.

We went to The War3house Gym at USJ 1. Simple place. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was our 1st time ever to an actual gym so we were clueless on how to use the equipment. This one guy, who works there, assisted us and explained how to use the equipment. Nice fella.

Anyways, back to my topic. I'm at 80kgs now. a whopping 20kg increase from when i was still in Kuching. My BMI is... OVER THE AVERAGE. hahahah.. i'm short. barely 155cm. Definitely overweight. (might post pics as proof). Ideal weight for my height is 48kg. My target weight is 55kg.

I joined a run last month, Love Subang Run 2015. It was just 3km. I couldn't even jog for more than 1 minute. this is how bad my stamina is. I miss the days when i was back in highschool and i could really run run.

Oh well.

How do i fix my problem? I've tried many things tbh. Even tried slimming programs but I just do not have the discipline to maintain the suggested diet. I LOVE FOOD TOO MUCH. I've tried Slimming Teas, Diet Supplements etc. Waste of alot of money coz i still didn't exercise.

So, last week i decided that, IT IS TIME to be real serious about this. I really need to shed some weight off. I have lost my figure (huhuwaaaa.. not that i was a hot babe, but.. i still had a nice figure some said).

Besides signing up for KFIT, i decided that it was wise that I kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Going to the gym alone is pointless if I do not maintain a proper diet and control my food. So, i decided to get myself the BodyKey Jump Start Kit by Nutrilite. It cost a bomb (1 time lump sum payment always do). But for health and fitness purposes, i believe, i have made the right choice. My regime stars on 09 Nov 2015 officially. I'll post updates on youtube and blog too.

Procrastination Level Infinity - Part 01 Exercise

I really need to UP my discipline. My last blog was in March. And i promised myself that I would be blogging more often. And.... look at me now. 7 months later... *bangs head on table*

I shall be ranting about my PROCRASTINATION. Yes, it seems that I AM THE QUEEN OF PROCRASTINATION. yeaps... so what are the things that i've been procrastinating about......

1. EXERCISE
Yupes. I keep telling myself i need to lose weight and get fit.
FYI, i'm currently 80KGs. and my BMI is... you dont wanna know. calculate it. I'm 155cm tall. *faints*

Last Sunday, i participated in a fun run by MPSJ. The Love Subang Run 2015. My 2nd run with them. As i have mentioned, i'm not fit. so i just "power" walked my way to the finishing line. Sad isn't it. Flashback 10 years ago, I could at least jog the whole way. Damn, i miss those days..... (reminiscing 58kg, waist 27")

Last year, i also bought a set of DumbBells. (which got quite burnt due to the house fire last month).
Told myself i'll do some hand exercise with them but.... guess what. the hype lasted 1-2 months only. then the dumbbells just slept in their boxes.

I also bought myself a new pair of shoes for exercise purposes last year. And yes, u guessed it right, they are still NEW up to yesterday. I told myself when buying those shoes that I will make it a point to wake up early each morning and walk at least 1 round around the apartment grounds before work. but..... nope, i didnt even attempt to do it. So, the shoes survived the fire. and my other pair got burnt so no choice but to use the new one last Sunday.

Last year i also told myself, once i get a car, i should have no excuse to drive to the pool to swim every week. So, we got ourselves a car last May. and not even once did i go to the pool after.

This year, there's this thing called KFIT in which u subscribe monthly for RM99 and u get to go for different classes, use diff gyms etc (limited entry for some). Quite cheap right? I sign up as a member to the website. Kept telling myself i need to start going to the class/gym. BUT, no. i still didnt subscribe to the full membership. It's only RM99 but no... i love food too much. RM99 can get me 10 snack plates at KFC during lunch.

What's my other excuse for not exercising? I don't wanna do it alone. Feel awkward exercising alone.

Who do i blame for all this fat built up? ME, MYSELF and I.

Resolution:
After the run on Sunday, and after weighing myself on Sat, i realised, no one else can lose the weight for me (like duhh....). I need to do it myself. I need to take action. HELLO!!! i NEED to look fit and good for the day i walk down the aisle (if ever). and i need to start not. I've reached no. 8. that's not good.
By end of 2016, i hope to be at least 15kg lighter or more if possible. not such a big goal eh? better than nothing. small goals are good.
Goal for the next few months before the end of 2015, is to be less than 75kg. Small steps....

So, this morning, I decided to properly sign up and subcribe to KFit (link below). AND i booked my 1st session for this Weds. A beginner's bootcamp after work. Will update more once i attend.

My attempt at losing the inches: Weight Loss Supplements - Garcinia Cambogia

So, a friend introduced me to this Garcinia Cambogia pills. So we decided to give it a shot and we both got ourselves a bottle each. But before I get into more details, some history on my weight.

I'm 28 this year and I have an unhealthy BMI. My starting weight in January was 75kg. I'm overweight for my height of 155cm but if you see me, i'm just chubby-ish. So, I decided to lose some inches. WHY? coz i can't afford to buy new clothes each time the current ones become tight. AND I wanted to look good and more presentable. and also for a fact that it's not easy to find clothing that fits my body shape. :(

Back to the pills. 1st few days of taking, 2 pills after breakfast (i'm not sure how others take it). Not much changes on my weight. Less hunger craving. I have a more liquid stool, oily. This is part of the process btw. Need to drink plenty of water. It was good. But i've been cheating. I missed eating couple of times so please don't rely on my testimonial cause, i've read a few by others, and they really lost weight. OH OH... bear in mind, YOU DO NEED TO CONTROL YOUR FOOD INTACT. pigging out won't help. it'll only make u gain weight with or without the pills.

So now, almost 1 month after buying those pills, i still have half a bottle uneaten ones so, i'm gonna start doing this properly. I've also purchased another type of Garcinia pills - 15 days dietary one. I'm planning to start this weekend and see if taking both at the same time will boost the weight loss or not.

Til then, don't judge me for doing this. Admit it, you wish you tried too.

OH YES, before I forget, much recommended if you could do the 10k steps per day or 30 mins of good exercise.
